Biography: Gilmor Keshet-Maor received her first degree in pharmacy from the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, where she also received her MSc summa cum laude in
Pharmacology and her PhD in Biochemistry and Neurodegenerative diseases in 2000. Dr.
Keshet-Maor completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University studying brain
stem cells in 2004. Upon her return to Israel, Dr. Keshet-Maor joined the Cancer Research
Center of Sheba Medical Center, where she led research on cancer stem cells until 2010.
Dr. Keshet-Maor joined the public service in 2011 as a biology teacher in Lod Science
School, a lecturer in teacher training at the Hebrew University, and an instructor for
in-service teachers in the Ministry of Education. Since 2016, Dr. Keshet-Maor has served as
the Director of the Science Division in the Pedagogic Secretariat of the Ministry of
Education.
