English Language Testing
This course is designed to guide college students in procedures for planning, writing,

administering and analyzing classroom language tests. The course will prepare students
to understand and act upon evaluations of students and colleagues, and to enable
students to write useful tests for use in the classroom.

Teaching English in Heterogeneous classrooms
This course will introduce and illustrate modes of teaching English in a

heterogeneous class. It is designed so as to enable the practical implementation of the
theoretical principles & ideas presented.

‫ﻌﺔ‬Ȋ‫ﺳﻨﺔ را‬
Discourse Analysis

The course Discourse Analysis will examine the relationship between language and
the contexts in which it is used. It will also examine discourse analysis in general and, in
greater detail, the way grammar, lexis, phonology, and spoken and written language have
been approached by discourse analysts. In addition, the course will display skills for
examining how humans use language to communicate and how they construct and
interpret linguistic messages and contexts.

Psycholinguistics
The course will deal with various topics in Psycholinguistics that pertain to the

learning & using of language with particular reference to the kinds of processes &
strategies involved in speaking, writing & reading. Moreover, the course examines how
